THE FOUNDERS HERMANDAD
COMMUNITY FUND
ABOUT
In recognition of the great challenges affecting our Hermanos due to COVID-19 and other societal upheavals, La Fraternidad (LUL) and La Unidad Latina Service and Education Fund (SEF) have partnered together to launch an emergency relief fund for the benefit of Hermanos of LUL; The Founders Hermandad Community Fund (HCF). HCF has been funded with an initial $30,000 donation which we will seek to grow through additional tax deductible donations.
Goals:
The primary goal of HCF is to support and assist Hermanos in times of extreme crisis, disaster, pandemics, and other periods of great hardship and need. The initial focus of HCF is to assist with needs related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Anticipated types of need include medical expenses, housing and food expenses, transportation expenses, and funeral expenses. HCF is intended to fill needs that are not readily met by current public and private aid and relief resources. Proceeds from HCF may not be used for non-essential needs, luxuries, or entertainment.
WHO CAN APPLY TO RECEIVE AID?
All Hermanos of La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Inc., including undergraduate and graduate students and alumni, are eligible to apply for aid.
